The Harbor Master at Bentwater Yacht and Country Club is responsible for all of the member’s boating needs at the club’s impressive marina.
Rob Brown, recently promoted to the position of Harbormaster, has been a Bentwater employee for over three years. During that time in his position as Food and Beverage Manager, Rob focused his efforts on fine-tuning customer service and perfecting quality assurance. He has taken a highly visible role within the dining room to ensure a positive dining experience for every member and their guests.
As a young adult, Rob took his first country club job in 1990 at Lake Doster Golf Club in Plainwell, MI. Throughout his tenure there, Rob learned the elements of every department within this growing club. Ultimately, he worked his way up to the Food & Beverage Manager position. In 1999, Rob moved to Texas to work for The Woodlands Country Club for five years.
Rob’s concentrated experience at Bentwater, and his love of the outdoors that began early in childhood, made him an ideal candidate for the position of Harbor Master. In the role, Rob will continue to enhance customer service, membership relations and maintain responsibility for the member’s boating needs. He will also be managing the marina staff as well as helping to organize many of the Club’s marina and lake events that have become Bentwater traditions.
